Release: The Patio Collection (Compilation) Label: SmileX Records |

This Compilation featuring 18 bands mostly from the Southern California area was
exactly what I had hoped. I know little about this release as I bought it used,
but I did recognize some of the bands including Tanner and 3 Mile Pilot. What I liked is that many of the bands on the Comp appear to have Sonic Youth as one of their influences. Everything starts off with a band called Rope doing a song called West Tone Song which offered vocal stylings similar to Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon all wrapped
into one. Great songs from Jackass, Sugarplastic, Half-Sister and Splatz. No burnt kernals in this batch. Grade: A Deejay O.S. Destroy Radio |
